Token counts
Find your token count
The calculator's “I know my tokens” tab takes raw token counts. Here is where each platform keeps them.
- C
Claude Code
- 1Inside a session, run /usage (or its alias /cost) for that session's token totals and your plan limits.
- 2For account-wide usage, open the usage dashboard: claude.ai/settings/usage (subscription) or console.anthropic.com → Usage (API).
- O
OpenAI API
- 1platform.openai.com/usage shows tokens per day, split by model and by input/output.
- A
Anthropic Console
- 1console.anthropic.com → Usage shows input and output tokens per model and per key.
- G
Google AI Studio / Gemini API
- 1aistudio.google.com → Dashboard → Usage shows requests and tokens per model, plus your progress toward rate limits.
- 2In the Gemini CLI, run /stats for session token totals (and /stats model for per-model counts).
- C
Cursor
- 1cursor.com/dashboard → Usage lists requests and token consumption for your account.
- O
OpenRouter
- 1openrouter.ai/activity shows tokens per request and running totals across every model you've used.
- D
DeepSeek
- 1platform.deepseek.com → Usage shows your token consumption per model over time.
- M
Mistral (Studio)
- 1console.mistral.ai → Usage shows tokens per model for your workspace.
- x
xAI (Grok API)
- 1console.x.ai → Usage Explorer breaks usage down by model, API key and token type; switch the dimension from dollars to tokens.
- G
Groq
- 1console.groq.com → Dashboard → Usage shows tokens consumed per model, handy if that's where you run Llama.
- G
GitHub Copilot
- 1Copilot counts premium requests, not tokens. github.com/settings/billing → Copilot shows your monthly request usage; for a footprint estimate, the “Everyday use” tab is the better fit.
- C
ChatGPT, Gemini & other consumer apps
- 1The consumer apps don't expose token counts. Use the calculator's “Everyday use” tab instead; it assumes a typical exchange size and takes prompts per day.
Got your number? The calculator takes it raw: 86000000, 86,000,000 and 86M all work.
